Powerful Full Spectrum Imaging Performance — Apertura 2″ LRGBAstrophotography Filter Set
Paint stunningly and vibrant images of celestial objects with your camera andthe Apertura 2″ LRGB Astrophotography Filter Set! Purpose built forastrophotography, this set of four filters provides you with premiumfull-color performance to capture galaxies and nebulae in vivid detail. Ifyou’re looking to realize the potential of your monochrome camera, this setfrom Apertura is sure to give your astrophotos star-power!
When you’re looking to create detailed and dynamic images, it is no secretthat the increased sensitivity of a monochrome camera can give you a boost;however if you pair this with standard color filters, your results may not beas stellar. With the Schott B270 substrate and precision coatings providing anaverage max transmission of 98%, this four filter set gives your camera acrisp and clear view into the stars to help maintain your performance gainsover a one shot color sensor. Precise off-band blocking ensures your colorchannels are focused and your luminance is free from the potentially softUV/IR wavelengths for sharp, clean, details! With this kit you have all thefilters you need to create compelling color images – red, green, blue, and a UV/IR luminance filter – in an 2″ threaded filter.

Full Color Imaging: A Closer Look
How can you tell if a filter’s filtering profile will work for your needs? What should you be looking at when comparing one filter’s specifications toanother? It’s all in the chart! A filter’s transmission chart gives you anin-depth at what wavelengths of light it is allowing through as well as howmuch of the total information on that wavelength is actually reaching yourimaging sensor. While these graphs may seem a bit of an enigma at first, onceyou learn what to look for, interpreting is easy! We’ve put together a helpfulguide that will quickly train your eye for these helpful graphs and have youreading and comparing filter charts in no time. Fantastic Full Color Photos
To create color images with a sensor that can only see in monochrome you need the help of filters; which allow you to capture slices of the light spectrum one at a time and then combine each of these later into a single image. The Apertura 2″ LRGB Astrophotography Filter Set contains all the filters you’ll need to create stunning images of both broadband and narrowband targets alike, with four filters that give you a full color view of galaxies, stars, and nebulae. Featuring precision off-band blocking and a very high average max transmission of 98%, your red, green, and blue color channels will be bright and well separated; with a high-quality luminance filter sporting the same impressive blocking and transmittance that will add that final “pop” to your full spectrum image!

Wide Compatibility
These filters are threaded to fit the majority of 2″ filter solutions on the market today! For automatic or remote setups, you can use the Apertura 2″ LRGB Astrophotography Filter Set with popular filter wheels like the ZWO 7 Position Electronic Filter Wheel for 2″ Filters and QHY CFW3 Medium Color Filter Wheel – 50 mm or 2″ 5 Position – StandardThickness. If you’re looking for the most compact solution or one that is more manual, then ZWO’s Gen 2 M42 x 0.75 Filter Drawer for 2″ Filters or the Askar M54 Filter Drawer are excellent choices!

High Quality Construction
Each filter in the Apertura 2″ LRGB Astrophotography Filter Set features high-quality components from the substrate to the coating to ensure excellent imaging performance. The core of these high quality filters is a Schott B270 substrate, providing high transmission of on-band wavelengths. Blocking out the off-band wavelengths with precision blocking is the premium coating, which is durably bonded with Ion Assisted Deposition (IAD) technology. This is finished to a λ/4 surface flatness and 60/40 surface quality for a surface that is as high quality as the coating and substrate! This is all housed in 2″ threaded filter cells with 44 mm of clear aperture and a short 5 mm height, making this well suited for full-frame or smaller sensors and the vast majority of filter integration solutions on the market today.
